On October 16, the highly anticipated Latte Art Championship took place in the banquet hall of the luxurious apartment hotel The Grand Sea Breeze, drawing the attention of coffee enthusiasts and industry professionals alike. This exciting competition featured 32 baristas from Baku’s top coffee shops, all eager to showcase their skills and creative approach to the art of coffee-making.

A panel of professional judges, composed of experienced experts, evaluated the participants’ skill in creating glossy designs with both cow’s and alternative milks using free-pouring techniques. The competitors also demonstrated their proficiency with equipment and maintained cleanliness at their workstations—a vital aspect of a barista’s craft. This championship marked a significant event for the resort town Sea Breeze, as it was hosted here for the first time. The event was organized by Restaurants by Emin Agalarov, with renowned company Lavazza providing the coffee and milk for the participants.

All the action was displayed on a large screen, allowing spectators to follow each stage of the competition in real time. At a separate station, guests enjoyed hot Lavazza coffee prepared with their choice of cow’s, coconut, or almond milk, adding a cozy and welcoming atmosphere to the event.

After a thrilling competition, the names of the top baristas were revealed. Ramiz Huseynli from Park Café claimed first place, Nadir Guliyev from Tatte took second, and Ramik Hasanov from Fishbox placed third. All participants received valuable prizes from Restaurants by Emin Agalarov, Lavazza, and Sea Breeze, motivating them to further develop their skills and passion for the art of coffee. This championship was not only a highlight but a true celebration for all coffee lovers in Baku!
